With the spirit and energy of celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Social Service, on Saturday, October 25th, we began the restoration, design, and painting of the facade of our beautiful house.
Then, through great teamwork with the association’s staff, volunteers, and solidarity artists, we created a sketch that conveys the values of the Gregorio Mendel Civil Association.
Early on Saturday, the Once neighborhood began to come alive with color, as friends and neighbors joined the painting day. By noon, our house was adorned in splendor, covering our front with color and joy.
This project, conceived and longed for, is made possible thanks to the SaludArte Project of the Siloé Civil Association and the volunteers from Booking.com.
The design, led by a group of mural artists, represents our work with children, the multicultural nature of the neighborhood, and the goal of our social service: to be a space of recreation, love, and support for the children of the neighborhood and their families.
On Saturday, November 1st, we will continue the painting marathon to finish a masterpiece that brings joy and beautifies the neighborhood.
